I have a life plan which is going to get me sorted and doing everything that I have dreamt off in life. The plan is flawless and should work out. The problem is the whole process will take 8 YEARS.

I want it ALL. I want it NOW.

How do I just relax and gain the patience to enjoy my life instead of just focusing on this future plan which will take years?

Apologies for the negative pessimist down there - the plan IS flawless dependant on my health and freedom yes but assuming I maintain those two things the plan IS flawless.

I am not naive, just determined and if you think positive you get positive results.

Thanks.

Just take each day as it comes. If life teaches you one thing, it's patience. Remeber the phrase Good things come to those who wait

8 years is not that long especially when you know what you want. A lot of people spend years and still can't decide what they want from life.

I have a plan too. I moved to a new country and I have to learn a language if I want to study and work thereafter. Its hard and takes time. I wish it was like downloading a software and bang you know it. My life is in a stand still now, but the only thing that makes me want to continue is the end result.

Its not the years that's long, its how you deal with it. Stuck to your goal if its really want you want. It will come one day and it will be worth the time and energy. In between work hard and enjoy when you can and never let anyone put you down in what you want.

Why not make a list of the things you need to do to get there and as you accomplish something check it off. At least this will give you a way to chart your progress and you will see that each step is leading you closer to your goal. Remember that anything worth having in life takes work and patience. Good luck to you.

In order to truely appreciate life you have to have had a few experiences. Look at some of the heirs and heiresses in the media who seem to have everything they could desire yet neevr seem to be happy.
It is fantastic that you have a solid life plan - you just need to change how you view it. Don't see it as 'I will have everything in eight years time' see it as 'everything I do now builds towards me having everything in eight years time'. That way you will place more importance and get more fulfillment out of all the things that you do. Don't wish your life away!
Good Luck.

Try sitting in front of a clock with a second hand and if you can watch the second hand go round twice and then think that really wasn't very long then you have the patience you need

FLAWLESS??? How naive are you! Gods laugh when men make plans. Just enjoy here and now, you might not even be here in 8 years. Make the most of every moment you never know which one is your last.

but you do need to focus on the future plan, also think of ways to get there quicker, theres always a way.

some say that waiting makes everything worth while. and if you really wanted it you'd wait for longer. i say surround yourself with people who have what you want (this may make it harder or easier depends on how you view it).
