couldn't agree more Giggsy. Players should try living in the real world and do a ten hour day like the majority of the population and earn less in a year than they do in a week. They should try working as a Fire officer or something...maybe that would make them realise what a real 'hero' is!!

Is it because you are oh so successful ?
Not many years ago there were teams missing out on the 1st Division Championship, European Cup, and FA Cup because of too many games - you southern dildos will never be good enough to achieve anything near that.
Be thankful you have too many games. One day you will be playing Basingstoke Bollocks, and wishing for today.

could you play 2 matches 90 minutes 15 minute break, in 24 hours. i used to do it regularly, and i wasn't paid £50,000 a week for the privilege.
other sports stars, ice hockey, baseball, tennis, the list goes on, compete at the highest level, the following day, with travelling, i am sick and tired of hearing this tired old excuse, tell them to go to bed for 16 hours, MANCHESTER UNITED included.

I can never understand it when managers of bigger, successful clubs whinge about the "pile up" of games. The reason they are in the pile up is that they have enough depth in squad to be able to rest players here and there in order to succeed in the league, both domestic cups, and Europe!! If they didn't have the ability to handle it, they wouldn't be in that situation in the first place. QED

Professional footballers are a load of wimps, we used to play football Sat. morning and afternoons (different teams) go out for a skin full sat night, have a game Sunday morning, work all week, with midweek games and still want to be selected for any game going. (Sunday afternoon was our rest period to get over injuries)
