Ive seen Independence Day and Signs and all those movies. I would hide!!!

Hmm what I readily would like to do would break into a TOP army base, hijack a mobile missile launcher, surface to space after two days of hard work I have it wired up to a remote control. Then I go home and play real life space invaders. Other than that I run around the house with my hair on fire screaming the aliens are coming the aliens are coming.

Much as I'd love to be able to hide, I am the sort of person who'd have to go and have a look. The way I see it, I have nothing to lose. If there are thousands of them and they're hostile, we're all screwed anyway. I might as well get a good look at what's going to finish me off. If they're friendly then I get to be one of the first to say 'welcome to Earth!'.

Yeah that's exactly what I was thinking of, even before I read the rest of the question. It's just like the movie Independence Day... which sucked, IMO.
