someone else said it, I'll just repeat it. Get a toilet auger. Pouring boiling water in a PORCELIN toilet is asking for trouble. Hot and cold just don't mix well with it.

Oh, man, this happened to me when I was a child, and my father made me stand there and flush the toilet for an hour. My mom poured boiling water down, and that helped. Finally, my father used a "snake" (kind of tool for unclogging pipes -- like a long wire) to get it out. It should be fairly soft by now, and the snake should stick into it and be fairly easy to get out.
Good luck!

You can pour hot/warm water into it for 30-45 minutes and it'll dissolve. It'll dissolve eventually, you know that, but if you need to unclog it immediately try the hot water from a pan method. Then try a plunger. It'll be pretty costly to call a plumber so hopefully this will work or you can use another toilet until it dissolves. Good luck~
I agree with d4d9r too- try and break it up into smaller pieces to get it to go down or dissolve quicker

I too had this happen except it was a bar of Mary Kay facial soap and we did not know WHAT was stuck in there! We replaced the stool! I, too, have since heard of the shop vac trick and used it. Works GREAT! I have retrieved things to numerous to count from our toilet that would not come with any other way. Worth a try!

I bet you could put somthing in your toilet to make the bar of soap dissolve. I have no idea what could do that though... I would call a plumber.

Do what a plumber would. Buy a toilet auger. It looks like a pipe with a handle crank, and has a 4 foot snake attached inside of it.
This tool will save you hundreds of dollars over your life time. This web site explains and shows what it is and does.

keep filling it with boiling water to melt the bar. Or snake it using a plumbers snake. Use one designed for toilet or you may accidentally chip the toilet or not even be able to get into the hole

Bar soap gets soft after it is wet.
Stick something that is smaller then the soap and Shove it through the rest of the way.
