it sucks, makes you feel like no one trusts, or thinks about you. being left out especially sucks, especially when its a group you belong to.
Here's how you get even though, when something really bad or good happens to you, don't tell them, tell someone who is in your circle, but not. you know one of those friends that only does the special guest star thing (yes everyone's life is a soap opera deal with it) and then watch just how fast every one wants to know whats up and why you aren't talking to them.
* on second thought ignore that second section that was fueled by outside influence sorry*

It's pretty rough. I was the last one at family group time to share input. I felt like what I said had no merit as long as I said something....I told my childhood friends that I was adopted since I hated my family so much.
With friends I felt important at least. I hope people can listen to you and take your input as meaningful.
Its really wrong to leave someone out of the loop when desicions affect the whole group.

I think the answer to this question has to do with the personality of the person that is the last one to know everything. If that person is sensitive, then it can be devastating, if that person is shy, it may bother them, but they may never tell anyone, if that person is aggressive, everyone may get their butts chewed, or if that person is a joker, they may find it humorous, and do humorous things that apply to it. It all depends on the persons personality and probably the sex of the person, males tend to care less about this than females. My advice is to never make one person always the last one to know, it sends the wrong message. Be fair to everyone and if you have to, do conference calling to get rid of this problem.

I used to get a bit hurt, but then I thought, I guess I have a life and dont need to know all that is going on, mostly I ask myself, is it really something I needed to know first?

It hurts like as if we are lost in an island and finally rescue came and all your friends got in the boat a get away and left you behind to die. That really hurts...feeling like being treated as transparent.

I'm used to it now. That it's more hurtful if I'm the first to know.

It's not too bad. I'm usually last to know about something when that something is unimportant to me, or has nothing to do with me at all.
