I do not know where you from. First u have to know what u want to sell. What is hot in the market. You need to find location for your store and have it register under your name. How can u run a store if you have no product to sell? 1st step first.

Associations may be a good avenue to explore. These organizations will address many of the thoughts, questions and concerns you'll inevitably have as well as many you haven't anticipated yet. See the source box for some relevant links.

Research, research, research – this cannot be stressed enough. Read as much as you can about the industry. Here are some book titles that are relevant:

well, it would be helpful to kno what kind of store, but of course you need the basics, cash register, security system, employes (depending on how big the store is), etc. i would imagine a dollar store would be the easiest to run...you woulnt have to worry about price...if you dont sell food, u wouldnt have to worry about things expiring, plus most dollar stores are pretty small so you might only need u n someone else working there....but if u have any idea of what kind of store, or how big...etc.....post another question.....then might be able to help you more!!
