Why can I not, if I chose, to take off in a rocket ship into deep space for the rest of my days, would I not be allowed to. The government does control the rights to space.

I didn't say I wanted to return. Imagine the things and site one would see before passing on. We're all circling a black hole anyway. Why wouldn't we want to leave and see whats out ther, unless we are too afraid to face that we are too full of ourselves. Which is why eeryone is fighting over everything.

Logically there should be no barrier to your trip. You will have to call it a tour that is longer than you expect yourself to live.

The answer would also depend on your nationality. If you live in a country with more rights to the people (eg. U.S.A., U.K., India) you may do this if you can justify that no immigration laws will be broken by such an act, and this is not an attempt of suicide (death as a consequence of other unexpected factors is acceptable.) You will have to prove that your ship will be sufficiently fueled and you have the necessary resources to survive for the duration of the tour. In India you will have to use an Indian launch site.
This would also depend on the extent to which rights to space are controlled.
If there are any problems they might not be in the near future when space tourism gets more popular and acceptable to governments.

If you could find a suitable vehicle that would safely take you into space then i don't see why not . If it can be safely launched then you don't have to tell anyone.I don't think you will see a lot depending on your trajectory from earth. If you are heading into deep space away from the planets in the solar system heading for the nearest star at say 27,000 kilometers an hour it would take you about 169,000 years to arrive !

Prove you have a safe and practical vehicle and you will have million of serious people who want to travel the stars at your door step. Or take off without telling anyone. The second version is called, "Running away."

Government is the People, not the people who we elected to public office. WE are the majority and if we were to pool our strength and numbers in a peaceful gathering and YOU proved you could achieve this marvel, to the Majority, this marvel that you suggest, what do you think?

See if that helps you get a focus .

The government isn't stopping you.

Lack of funds and technical ability is more likely the reason you haven't done this yet.

You can do it if:

1)You are rich enough to buy one that won't kill you
2)You have no respect remaining for the planet earth to leave it
3)You will be allowed by higher authorities(eg. government, parents, teachers)

You can't do it because:
1)That's absurd( for now)
2)Almost impossible(for now)
3)You love living here, you just can't accept it
