I have never found it 'endearing' when someone was overly sympathetic, and I especially find it sickening when they come across as 'politically correct at all cost'.
I prefer honesty - PERSONAL honesty, well thought out, presented with respect and kindness but nevertheless with truth.

Sounds like somebody is trying to get in someones pants.
And anybody that is PC.... well i would research them
i would assume you will find a very selfish individual that has no respect for family values on the inside... deep down inside
sounds harsh... thats life to some extent

Annoying. Especially when it comes from white people. Every other white person I meet, american and australian alike, apologizes for "what we did to your people". No offense, but stop feeling guilty for things that happened long before you were born and had no control of.

no longer in all probability. i think of rage over "political correctness" is in many situations stupid and slightly dramatic. the terrific thank you to verify what you ought to call somebody is to ask them. fairly undemanding, and no outrage mandatory. touching on people properly/how they choose isn't being politically staggering, that's being considerate and well mannered.

My mother-in-law recently passed, and in about 1 day I was sick to death of all the sugary sweet stuff from people who never met her and barley knew me !
