At any doctor's office or for your ID you should be measured without shoes. I guess for guys it wouldn't be that bad but some women would vary quite a bit in height if they measured with shoes on :-)
I don't understand people lying about their height, I'm very short but I've never had the thought to add a few inches if someone asked me how tall I am... they've got eyes, they can see I don't even come up to their shoulder can't they?

Normally without shoes. I normally wear high heels which add at least 4-6 inches to my height. So I'm always having to tell people, "I'm not really this tall." It's something to laugh about because I am about five feet tall without shoes on.

I'm 5 feet and 3/4 inches sans shoes. I say 5'6". The only times I wear shoes that only add one inch are when I work out or wear flip flops on lazy days. Heels are a lot less painful if you keep your legs and feet used to wearing them.

The proper way to express it is without shoes. It is a measurement of YOUR height, not your height plus your shoes height.

As a male, you would like to be tall and have normal height. In average, men are to suppose to be over 170cm or 5'7".
Sometimes they would like to wears shoes with them to be more attentive to females.
Females should never be as tall as 175cm. If they are over that height and have no job, they could become supermodel, like Megan gale and Elle McPherson. .

I usually guess, and quote anything from 5'4" to 5'7", so I guess the answer is both with and without shoes, and possibly stooping or standing on something. I don't have any idea how tall I actually am.

I continuously supply my top with out taking shoes into attention. whether, they had would desire to be some intense stilettos for it to truly make any distinction seeing as i'm purely 4'11. 5 foot on a competent day =P

When I am bare footed I am almost 5' so I wear heels most of the time, I say I am 5'2" , except when it is for the doctor or an official document.

it should be with shoes.it will be helpful for the short people to increase their height with the help of the shoes.
