Oh, you mean like the time I claimed I was a little white rabbit so that I could occasionally check my watch, claiming to be late, and run out of work whenever I felt like? You should try it. It's better than a Nobel Prize.

Its best never to tell a lie on a resume. If you do and you are caught, even a little white lie can get you fired. Think of a good way to say the true things to make them sound better but please don't lie. Jobs are too important to take a chance on losing one for something so stupid. Remember when you sign your employment papers you are swearing that every thing you told them is the truth.

They expect you to lie... at the very least to exagerate.
I mean, so maybe to you the High School Science award is the equivalant of the Nobel Prize? Surely they'll understand...
One more thing: LOL

No, No, No, NO! On a resume', a person should never lie. There are several reasons, one being it is wrong to do so and another big one is that you will most assuredly lose your job, if you should get the job, IF the employer ever finds out there is ANY lie on the resume'.

I don't say its acceptable but it seems the majority of people fudge on resumes'. Some tell flat out lies. If you can get the job and cover then go ahead. Just make sure you aren't getting in over your head. That made me think of George Castanza.

no. you just have to be smart about it. Make sure that it is something that they can't check into. If it seems off the wall, they will probably check. It's not good to lie, but if you need to, at least lie about something that is believable.
