Because then You would open the door for all the ratbags in the world to take it upon Themselves to determine what is 'good' for Me, and in 'Our best interest'. If You are opposed to censorship You would welcome the freedom of an open advertising industry. Let's suppose that I chose to ban Your comments on the Internet, would You be happy about not being about to 'advertise' Your point of view? Where would it end? Fascism of the worst kind starts with a simple idea such as the one You are suggesting. Sorry. But there it is.

Because they are a business selling a product. They have a right to advertise. Just because some people have a lack of self control and over eat, it shouldn't be blamed on the food companies. People need to take responsibility for their own actions.

I think they should be banned after 11pm. I always hate it when I'm watching TV at midnight and I see an add for Dominoes or something. I get really hungry all of a sudden and start craving pizza but there's nothing I can do because Dominoes isn't open at midnight. Neither is any other fast food restaurant for that matter.

Because it helps to keep the people coming that spend their money that pays the wages of the workers. Why should we ban everything that SOMEBODY thinks is against their way of thinking. Why don't we just ban getting out of bed and then, quite soon we wouldn't need to ban anything. Why don't we ban trying to enforce our opinion on other people and just get on with our own lives.

I think the problem is the target audience. They should have stricter laws on aiming advertising at children, because they just listen they don't think through it.

I'd fell panelised by government intervention.

hope I helped:)
