"Menstruation, or period, is a woman's monthly bleeding. Every month, your body prepares for pregnancy. If no pregnancy occurs, the uterus sheds its lining. The menstrual blood is partly blood and partly tissue from inside the uterus, or womb. It passes out of the body through the vagina. "

Now, with that in mind...if a female hasn't had her period at age 18...she should really start thinking of going to the doctors, just for a check-up to see whats happening.

Menstruation is key to having babies.

If your future includes having periods and nothing is wrong with your reproductive organs there is no reason why you cannot have children. You are a little old not have started yet. Have you seen a doctor to make sure you don't need some help? Might be a good idea.

If you do not have your period and you are 18 years old then something is not normal. Go to the doctor. A woman must have a period to have children. No period = no mother

If you are still not having your periods and are 18 or older this is a sign that something is wrong. This situation needs to be evaluated by your dr to see what could be causing the problem.

I think that if you lead a highly physical life, and do not have body fat, the period comes later. You could still be a mother if this is the case.
