Why should Chappel be made a scape goat for the failure of the team which was supposed to the best which left the shores to take part in a World cup tournament. When the reasons for failure is something apart from the game of cricket there is no purpose in sacking him. Ah! He will ultimately be sacked simply because he does not endorse any Indian products and also because he is not a power centre in the BCCI scheme of things.

Chappel has done what he could. It is the duty of the players to make it out in the ground to win a match. Why should we blame the coach for the loss ? The whole system that is involved with the selection of the selection committee as well as the playing squad needs a re-cycling now. Political intervention has made this game a big show business. Thanks to all the TV channells who are promoting this product, which is only seen by a mere percent in this world.

I dont think so, as it will be a lame excuse to blame Chappel for the total failure of Indian players.

Yes; but not for the failure of india. but for his own failure in binding the team and pitting one against the other. Making the team insecure and mutually suspicious.
He was known for his aggressive aprroach and convincing capabilities? If so why could not he get the team he wanted prior to the tournament.

All who are involved in the failure should be under scrutiny... sacking is the easy way out...
Let them go thru the vigorous action again to undo the failure...
In all practical purposes these are the best we've got at present

Should your teachers be expelled if you fail or your parents be prosecuted for your bad behaviour?
The Indian team members are guilty of both the wrongs, and the coach did not opt for the players, they were dumped on him.
If the players are all that great then why keep a coach?

i say absolutely YES
first of all he comes n spoils a good indian team
makes way for several conflicts
renders it a political bias
finishes off all the good will amongst the team members and the little spirit and killer instinct they had
i feel that he was playing for australia.....he should be slapped hard---he is just a vain idiot
