You must wait. You are many hours away from giving birth if you have not even started to dilate yet.
Try walking around - anything to keep upright and mobile. Remember what you have been taught in your birthing classes.

Your womb is contracting, but not strongly enough to put you into labour yet - uncomfortable, but not labour.
Walking is good once the cervix is starting to dilate, but you're not there yet. I would rest up for the day, wait for nature to start her magic, be ready for it. Once you go into true labour, you may be labouring for many hours, and will need lots of energy to deliver your baby.
Remember things like walking or driving a lot will make you feel Braxton-Hicks contractions much more strongly, and will give you 'stitch' like pains. These are not true contractions, but uncomfortable nonetheless. Being overactive at this stage will more than likely delay the onset of true labour.
Relax, take it easy, and the best of luck!

Walk around between contractions, stay upright during them - standing if you can or at best sitting up. Don't lie down that slows it all down and by staying upright gravity is making your baby's head put pressure on your cervix helping it to dilate. Good luck - by this time tomorrow you'll have a beautiful little baby and it will all be worth it!

I went through the same thing in both of my pregnancies -- the nurse the second time around called it "pre-labor." (-: It sure doesn't feel very "pre" . . . until you get to the real labor!
Walking around helps, and try to stay upright as much as possible. You can also kneel on a cushion, and put your head and arms on the bed, and breathe deeply. Mostly, it's just wait, and don't worry. This sounds crazy, but try and sleep if you can.
Good luck, and may you have a happy delivery!
