I'm finding this to be very effective against both this Spring. My neighbors are complaining about mole highways but I have none, yet I've lots of nightcrawlers and wonderful soil. The ferret manure is mixed with shredded paper and composts rather easily. I stuff it in any hole in the ground.

i think it is because they can smell that a ferret is a predator to them and they know that from instict. So they think the ferret is running around wild in your yard by smelling the feces and they dont want to stay around and be lunch.
