I'm not sure why kid_smurf93 thinks Wikipedia is wrong, because it's correct about Rick. A few other answerers gave incorrect information too. Rick was a musician long before he was an actor - he only acted to pay the bills in between record deals. For those that don't know him like I do, his most well-known accomplishments are the song "Jessie's Girl" in 1981 and his role as Dr. Noah Drake on General Hospital around that same time; after 25 years he has recently resumed that role. He took a break for awhile but now has been touring for almost 10 years and he puts on an awesome show.

Rick Springfield was the heart- throb doctor on general hospital, then he became a short lived 80's singer with the hit jesses girl. Now his music is very heavy. almost like the foo fighters.
