No state has outlawed corporal punishment. You still have that right but it is regulated by statutes in some states to protect against abuse.

This depends on where you are. I live in Colorado, in the US. The law here in Colorado permits spanking a child on the buttocks only. The law allows for "transitional redness" but if you leave any welts or bruises it is classified as abuse. I think this is a fair law. It allows parents to discipline their children and still protects the children form people that would take it to the extreme.

I don't know. This question reminds me of stories told by Ben Casey. Of entrepreneurs that keep "sweatshop" lists--children that died when a dumbwaiter crashed on the job (picked for size congruency). Naturally, some children won't receive an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth. That said, a spanking teaches safety; when the kid is receptive to safety lessons.

It is not illegal to spank your children now if you are doing it in a very violent aggressive manner or causing physical harm to your children than it moves over to abuse however spanking is not illegal. The libs would like to make it illegal hell they would like to make farting illegal but whatever. Hope this answers your question......Shadow Stalker

depend on the states.
If the states still doesn't have the law yet, they could charge you by assaulting/harming children.
