I live in a college dorm and recently I moved in with someone else. My name is not listed under the new number so someone needs to know my roommate or me to know I have moved. I recently got a call from a girl who wanted me to fix her printer.

I figured it was just going to be a one time thing and she would leave me alone. No. She always calls at 11:30pm, when I'm sleeping or I have company over and expects me to drop what I am doing to come fix this damn printer. I have told her what it is she needs to do.

I can't even pick up my dorm phone in fear that she is going to be on the other line. So I figured I'd have my roommate answer it for me for a while but now I am getting calls from this girl on my CELL PHONE. Keep in mind, I don't know who she is, she never leaves a name or a number.

What do I do? I'm now saving all the messages she leaves me so that if I have to go to the police or the school security department I can. It's starting to become rather serious and she won't go away

Also, I have tried to get her name, her phone number, and the place where she is calling me from, but she will not give me any of that information.

The number she called me from on my cell is private and the college does not allow for caller ID so I can't track where it is coming from.

If sounds like a mutual friend/acquaintance has likely provided her with your phone numbers and your knowledge of printers and be a person to call for help on them.

Take her next phone call and tell her firmly that you have already advised her what she needs to do and it she if she is still having problems with the printer then she needs to take it to Best Buy, Circuit City or some other repair shop to have it looked at, although it is likely be cheaper to get a new one that to repair the old one. Most importantly, tell her not to call you about it anymore.

It does not become "stalking" until you tell her not to call you anymore and she continues to do so. The police or security are not going to be able to do anything unless she actually threatens you with harm AFTER you have asked her to stop calling you.

Most all landline and cell phone companies offer a call block feature (usually costs extra) and you do not need to know the number she is calling from in order to block it...most have feature where you enter a code and it blocks the last call that came in.

The next time she calls tell her you are going to come fix her printer. Get all of her information, name address and phone number, and type of printer. Set an appointment with her to fix it. Take all of it directly to the campus police. Let her know that you don't want her to call you again. Good luck.

You're doing the right thing ignore her and report to authorities , block her out on your cell phone and always ask for your roommate to check who's calling.
