My, that is really a great question. Since I live in Indiana it gets pretty cold here in the winter and really hot and humid in the summer, it would be uncomfortable either way.
This past winter, in the months of January and February, our boiler went out, and I couldn't afford a new one right away, my 3 young grandsons, whom I am raising, and I slept in one room, wrapped in quilts and blankets, and used electric heaters to keep warm. When it was time to sleep, I would unplug the heaters to prevent the possibility of fire, and we managed to make it through those really cold months just fine.
I don't believe I could stand the really hot and humid heat, even just using fans. I hate the humidity when it is combined with super heat, so I will pick living with the having no heat in the winter.

that's a tough one because i live in the Midwest where the winters are bitter the summers get real hot. I guess i would rather have no a/c. you can still use a fan to cool yourself off and usually by the time i go to bed its cooled off. No heat means my pipes freeze and there is nothing like getting up, at dark, and having to walk through a cold house.

Living in Southern CA..... I don't HAVE to have either. Just mark me down as none of the above.
Although a few days in the summers have been a little damp and sometimes the fan just blows hot air.... Mark me down for no heat in the winter.

Me personally, no a/c in the summer, my blood is thin, therefore, i get cold much easier,,,,I would freeze to death with no heater in the winter around here.
I guess it would also depend on your location, now wouldn't it?

You can pile on layers of clothes, but you can only take off so much.
I'd definitely rather go without heat!
