jack kirby back in style?

Question

first dc brought back omac.

then marvel brought back the eternals.

then mister miracle and big barda started popping up in comics alot more often.

then i heard dc is doing a new version of forever people.

and now the teaser ads for countdown from dc feature jimmy olsen, darkseid, and some quotes that refrence the fourth world and kamandi.

does anybody else think the editors over at marvel and dc must be fanatics for king kirbys later work?

Jack Kirby and his concepts were never out of style. Look at all the artists who have done homages in his style.

The cynic in me sometimes thinks they waited until his passing so as not to give him his cut, but that is just me.
