Liberals do not deal in facts, they deal in feelings. They believe what they want to believe.

Think about what you just said. You have it in reverse. Facts are not drawn from consensuses. Rather, consensuses are based on facts (well, theory supported by facts). Not the reverse. Theories are evaluated based on the available evidence. When a sufficient body of evidence is produce that supports the theory's general principles, then a consensus is formed. (This is where the Bush administration went wrong. The decided beforehand on the consensus they wanted, then attempted to generate the facts to support it. Bad science. Bad policy.)

WMD: The initial consensus drawn was based on fabricated data. When the data were found to be fabricated/non-existent, the consensus quickly disintegrated. (And a CIA operative was outed in retribution).

Global Warming: The consensus drawn has been based on sound scientific theory supported by a vast body of data.

If you are going to attack liberals, at least try to do it with a logic that does not smack of putrid pettiness.

Where did you hear such a crazed idea?
There ARE NO WMD's in Iraq. No Al Queda. No connection to 9/11. Never were.
Nil. Zilch. Nada. Ningun. Nem. Zero.
Global warming is happening; the consensus you referred about it to is what scientific observers tell us is hapening. That's why Democrats believe it--because it's true.
Republicans don't want to believe it because it interferes with their sick hunt for cheap oil so they can go on driving big cars and playing dictator over the normals who can think.
Six years later you still haven't understood what "none" means relative to WMDs? And you are going to insult those of us who listen and can think--by lying about a nonexistent bunch of weapons?
What would it take to convince you that what the UN weapons inspectors said was true from the beginning?
What people have found out in six years?
No WMDs. No Al Queda. No connection to 9/11.
Big news. Some of us said so before the dumbheaded attack on Iraq was ever launched.

Well because the consensus on global warming is backed by scientific research. Furthermore the body of people making the consensus are PhD researchers. This differs from the body of people making the WMD consensus who are politicians. Politicians are not experts on WMD so their consensus is meaningless, they are not physicists. I mean they cant even do a simple equation like calculate the escape speed of a rocket. Also, facts are not based on consensus. A general consensus ought be based on facts and facts are based on repeatedly tested theories and theories are based on well thought out experimentable hypotheses

the WMD were not in Iraq, 5 years ago when Bush invaded their country,, Cheney was clueless, as he lied to America,, we were not greeted with flowers, mistakes were made, a civil war has ensued, the country is a fiasco, now we need to get US troops out of Iraq,, Democrats will attempt to clean up the mess George has made, we need to impeach him and Cheney,, asap. Gonzales should step down,, "turd Blossom" should resign,, Nancy Pelosi will be a great interim president until the 2008 presidential elections,, when Hillary will be elected to be the First Female President of the USA.,, she will take care of the global warming issue,, and all the extremely important priorities facing our country. Not to worry,, Mrs.Clinton will take charge,, and America will be OK.

What consensus on WMD's?

Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Powell and Rice's consensus data was all proven to be FALSE and doctored to fit the argument for War. Plamegate, the aluminum tubes, yellow-cake--all FALSE. The only thing they found over there was the leftover stockpiles of what Rumsfeld sold him back in the early eighties when they were at war with Iran. Get a clue. Mainstream America = Liberal when it comes to this issue.

Well both exist so I'm not sure of your context (wooooo big word look it up) What WMD'S are we talking about? The ones MANY countries currently own or pre gulf war munitions that were useless and may have actually been provided by the U.S.A. when Saddam was attacking Iran, see there's a difference and it DOES matter

Good question. Liberals don't even apparently want to consider Clinton's 1998 Iraqi resolution. Or all the Democrats in Congress who also believed Iraq had wmd's. Why not?

Because they have jumped on the anti-Bush bandwagon, and it has clouded their judgment beyond the ability to reason.

If Bush had pushed global warming, instead of Al Gore, they wouldn't believe in global warming, either.

Facts are not based on consensus, but public policy in the US sure is!

What consensus on WMDs. The UN reported there were NO WMDs, the Army investigation found no WMDs
The consensus is no WMDs, Even the Bush Regime says they got false intelligence and there were NO WMDs
You seem to be the only one who still hangs on to that dead horse.

There are scientific proofs for global warming. Why are conservatives so adamant that it is not a fact? How does it hurt anyone to try to clean up the air?

The "Decider" said that he was mistaken; there were not WMD in Iraq. Don't YOU believe your fearless leader? (I mean, you expect me to!)

EDIT: How do you determine what "liberals believe"? Magic 8 ball???
