Buy about 25 feet of thin rope, gather it into a roll that has a diameter of about 10-12 inches, and go door to door selling handmade clothing lines.

You can go here http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Clothes-Line-Rope-1-4-X-50-Feet_W0QQitemZ4418132261QQcmdZViewItem
and buy 50 feet for $1.65 +S&H .

After the postman delivers your order just cut it in two pieces and sell each one for $2. With enough effort you could probably sell 2 lines per month.

For added profitability, you can sell clothing pins and clothing pin holders.
