Not wise for general cleansing of the face.

Try hydrogen peroxide instead. I use it as an after shave all the time on my face and it keeps my skin clear. I have sensitive skin and it doesn't bother me at all. You could also try witch hazel which has an even milder astringent effect.

if applyed while cleaning a wound is ok
not otherwise as face is sensitive .
