"Nobody likes you when you are 23."

What a weird and hurtful assumption! Hope noone likes you when you turn 23!! ...Or noone liked you at that age.

angrybul, I see what you mean, though there are some 16-17 year olds that think the same, I think it really IS just a number.

and depending on your experiences with the past, that's how you'll act. Though i truly think I've lived it all being 23 and surviving depression from when I was 18.

I took no offense with what anyone says, except for maybe the first answer, the least he could've done was explain himself. =P

"*I'm going by how I felt in the past. I thought I went through a lot with my depression/anxiety/suicide issues that began with I was 14. I thought I had more mental breakdowns than most 'adults'. When I was 28, I hit a low that I never thought was possible and I learned that things can get even worse over time even after you think you've been through it all. I have no clue what to expect anymore out of life and I feel like an idiot these days. (I'm 29)"

Yup. I went through that as well, but I"m better now and I'm glad. I don't want to go into detail, but from what you just told me, I think that anyone can actually go through severe levels of depression, especially as you enter the adult world, or age.

"23; they're B.S. and full of it."

Sandwrecker, what makes you think that about us? Was there a particular incident/experience? Or do you just hate/resent them for no reason?

". 40; Noticably old looking and wiser about somethings."

true, but like I stated at the beginning of the question, this is just a generalization.

15- They're still a kid so ridiculous behavior is still forgivable.

17- They should know better but they can still get away with a lot of crap. They think they can pull it off but most people can see through it.

23- They think they are an 'adult' and that they know 'everything' because they aren't a teen anymore plus they are over 21 so they feel like they've 'been around the block' and have a 'history'.

40- They know that they didn't know anything when they were in their 20s and 30s but they have hope that they will finally figure things out before they are 50.
