Not in the Constitution, but in the Declaration of Independence. Its a Lockean idea that Thomas Jefferson agreed with. The DOI is not a document that has any legal implications, other than our dissolving ties with England. Its not the basis for our laws.

Actually, there is such a clause in the Declaration of Independence. It states:
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. uhh read your constitution.. actually read a real copy look for the part aboutthe people electing a president.. you won;t find it, CAUSE THE PEOPLE DO NOT ELECT THE PRESIDENT.. amazing eh? the electoral college elects the president if you don;t like it start a movement and petitions to try to get an ammendment to change it
