very true.. I think its a stretch to compare them to obama though. he's good, but those men are great.
he could become a great man after he is president and has some power to change things.

Jesus, basically said he was only interested in the Kingdom of God, not of ruling here on Earth, so he probably would not make a good President.
MLK was a very good and eloquent speaker and definitely had some skill at organizing and motivating people. MLK could have made a good President, given the right political conditions.
Ghandi also was great at motivating and organizing people. He could have made an alright President. Ghandi's major downfall would be the fact that he would not be willing to kick butt when butts needed to be kicked. He would look weak to some in the world.

Wow! You are sure putting Obama into an experienced and distinguished group of people!
Jesus, no experience? He is God. MLK? Experienced true racial discrimination, first-hand, and brought us the civil rights movement.
We will disagree about Mandela. I don't see him the way you do.
At any rate, Obama hasn't accomplished any of those things. Not a one. Unless hanging out with rappers qualifies.

aside from being dead.. a sit down strike or a hunger strike would not have stopped 9/11 it would have shown weakness inthe minds of the terrorists ( although it takes some real strength to do some of those actions) sometimes hard decisions must be made and sometimes heartless decisions must be made

Well I cant really take your question seriously since you tried to compare the Son of God to these mere men.

No, none of them would have made good presidents. Just like Jimmy Carter wasn't a good president.
You have to be ruthless and willing to do things they'd not be willing to do.
Obama isn't Jesus, MLK or Ghandi. The comparison is invalid.
