Zach has it right.

You need to grip on the steering wheel and attempt to turn the steering wheel. It will only move a little, but as you are turning the steering wheel, try to turn the key. This should release the lock.

The locking of the steering wheel is a theft deterrent system. It prevents a theft without a key from turning the steering wheel or shifting gears.

If you have a lot of keys on your key chain, remove them. Never dangle a lot of keys from a key chain in the ignition lock cylinder. It can damage the ignition lock cylinder, and cause similar symptoms to what you are seeing. If turning the steering wheel hard doesn't unlock the ignition lock cylinder, it could be damaged and need replacement.

it is an anti-theft system that can fool some stupid thief that it is a wrong key.
Well, i guess it fooled you.
As you try to turn the key, use ur left hand to pull the steer wheel to the right (or left, i forgot which way), but turn the key 3 times harder than normal, then you will unlock the mechanism.

Calm down turn the wheel as you turn the key sometimes that will unlock it.
