Are you kidding me??? They threw insane amounts of cash at mostly bums this past offseason. I mean come on, paying Ted f'n Lilly $40 million for 4 years?!??!?! You gotta be kidding me! Other than Soriano, they signed a bunch of garbage, but they did sign people and throw $$$ around so I don't know what more you expect. Not everyone on the FA market is good, sometimes you gotta take what you can get to fill holes in your roster.....just don't overpay the hell out of them like the Cubbies did with Lilly and Marquis.

well they did spend for soriano who is good as hell but they maintained 3 good players D.Lee , A.rameirez and C.Zambrano. The biggest question always was how come they dont spend ! Now they stepped up got L.Pinella and all the other players i think they will be fine....while Pinella is there !!!!

do you not follow the offseason? the cubs spent over 300 million in contracts to lee, ramirez, soriano, derosa, marquis, lily, pinella.

well they need a foundation to start with,but this goes back to the time they got rid of greg maddox he only won like 5 cy youngs,but they need to model the teams phlosphy after the N.E. patriots and sign veterns and draft for needs and wisly

I hear that Kimberly Clark is buying them and moving them to Dallas. They will be named the Dallas Tampons, which is apropriate because they have only one string and are good for only one period.
