I am an apprentice for a jeweler and seem to be in a designing rut. Any ideas? Something that you would love to have? Something that you have seen that you loved?

Thank you!

Jewelry seems to have gotten very heavy lately.
I'm partial to delicate, more feminine pieces.

Less Goth, more gossamer, please.

OMG. I really want a necklace that starts as one chain, but then has has multiple chains, but of different sizes and different colors (that still compliment each other) that kind of drape off, but are still attached to the original chain at both ends. The "draping" chains would have little trinkets and charms (keys, glass hearts, tiny metal horseshoes -- whatever) dropping off of it. I think that would be sooo cute!

I love the long necklaces with the charms bunches together on the end! It looks very hip. Maybe you could modify that into something classy, though, that could be worn all the time.

I personally like necklaces that are very long and beaded, not the tacky cheap looking ones though. I like pearls too. I especially like the necklaces that have like eight little pearls dropping down (not to far though). I know it probably doesn't help without a description, but I hope you understand me.

Having seen a lot of jewelry over the course of my life time, I have come to appreciate unique, interesting and symbolic themes in jewelry of all types. I make costume jewelry and I find myself creating pieces with a very personal flair.

An icecream cone would be really cute. Different color circle connected would be cute too. And you know what I really want? A puffy yellow heart pendant. I would so buy that! Maybe I'll find it somewhere.

I think the less is more thinking is the way to go. Big and bulky is gaudy more detail, shape , sparkle , shine or color is the new way to go. Something more defined, tailored, exquisite and elegant.

it will be a chunky one. yellow gold big chain, not long, just resting on the collarbone with an assortment of big charms - pearls, hearts, flowers, my initial letter, what-have-you. it will go great with any plain top.
