If it's not, you're not doing it right!

No. Sometimes reality can surprise you & surpass your wildest dreams. Sometimes things turn out even better than you ever imagined. But other times, yes the fantasy exceeds the reality because with fantasy you are in complete control. You can write the script. You imagine the very best. In real life, your control is more limited. You can not affect what other people say & do. But the surprise & spontaneity is part of the fun. You never know what's going to happen. If you had complete control, if everyone around you was just your puppet, life would get boring.

When I do a painting, I have an idea in my head of what I want it to look like. Then I do it & my execution never lives up to the perfect image in my head. But the cool thing is, I still like how it turns out. Something magic happens. Something indefinable. A little imperfection. Eccentricity. A surprise. I will find something in my painting that I didn't plan or expect that I really like. It's like life. Sometimes the things you didn't plan on, the little detours that you didn't foresee, become the best things in your life.

Only in the short run. Fantasy is very pleasant, and exciting in the right spots, and controllable. Real Life (or what we call reality) isn't controllable. Conversations don't run the way you want, the bus breaks down at the worst time... Which makes it sound as though real life is always a downer, but it's not always. Surprises can be nice, like an old friend dropping by, or winning the lottery, and so forth.
And that doesn't address the danger of permanently living in a Fantasy world: never leaving will cause a person to lose track of what's going on around them, and that can literally be very dangerous.

It depends on what you are fantasizing at the time.If you are just daydreaming a lot ,then reality is better because it stops you from fantasizing too much which makes it harder to switch of and return to the real world even if the reality at the time may be unpleasant for one reason or another. Using fantasy to block reality is not recommended.Short periods of fantasizing are ok.

It must be for the person who creates it. After all, the purpose of fantasy is to escape reality. Why escape one thing for another unless the thing you're after is better than the thing you're trying to escape?

On the other hand, as Greg Koukl often says, "Reality has a way of bruizing those who don't take it seriously." When it comes to taking asprin or cyanide, truth matters.

It all depends what you are fantasizing about and what is your reality. So i would have to say no, your life is what you make of it, make your fantasies come true as long its not to far fetched or can get you into trouble.

In fantasy there are no limits except the ones you place on yourself. It will always be better, unless you don't want it to be.

Of course this only applies for the creator of the fantasy.

Not at all. I find a healthy mix of both to be best.

That said, I can happily say that I've "realized" most of my fantasies.
