Go to Linksys.com and go into the downloads section. (Download link on top of page) Follow the on screen instructions to locate the firmware for your router. Once you have the files saved to your machine - use the web router interface to upgrade the firmware.

To me, The best way to update the firmware, is to call Linksys Customer Support. Its free and you can call anytime 24/7. Best time to call is in the mornings, Less the 5 min wait time.

I have had the same problem, with my Linksys, the Customer Support really helped me step by step on what to do, ( there are alot of steps and some of them I forgot)

Now my firmware is up to date and the support team even configured some stuff for me.

here is the Tech Support Number (800) 326-7114

Also once you contact them and they will tell you to go on Linksys.com/downloads
thats where you will get the file from.

First you will have to download the firware file for your router. This may not be as easy as that sounds as there are many versions of your router. Hopefully it is labeled well. Goto the below link and find your router.

http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?childpagename=US%2FLayout&packedargs=c%3DL_Content_C1%26cid%3D1115416835852%26site%3DUS&pagename=Linksys%2FCommon%2FVisitorWrapper

Then log into your router and select the firmware upgrade file stored on your computer and let it go.

A Warning, make sure you dont unplug the ethernet cable or the routers power until the file is completly uploaded or you may turn it into a paper weight.....
