Since 1901, the first year that the American and National Leagues existed, there have been two teams to have two 30-game winners on their rotations:

1903 NY Giants - Joe "Iron Man" McGinnity (31 wins) and Christy Mathewson (30 wins).

1904 NY Giants - Same players. McGinnity won 35, Mathewson won 33.

It should be noted that the way pitchers approached the game was very different back then: the accepted strategy was to get the batter to make contact, and let your fielders make the outs. Strikeouts weren't a big part of a game and a pitcher was expected to throw hard only when in a tight situation. In 1903 and 1904, McGinnity topped 400 innings pitched each year, while Matty pitched 367 both years.

In 1905, McGinnity slipped to just 21 wins, while Mathewson won 31.
