they are doing great.
now i want to plant my aquarium.
i bought few ferns.
i need to know what changes do i need to make int he gravel.
do the aquatic plants need substrate for nutrition or they derive it from water?
i want to put a rock or drift wood with some moss too.
is it a good idea?

yes java ferns. i have them abt a week now.
they are doing fine.
i wanted to add the moss for cosmetic reasons

I assume you mean Java ferns. Regular plant fern from the florist won't live underwater. Nothing special you need to do really, those do quite well in a small tank and under low light. They get the vast majority of their nutrients from the water and will get all they need from waste and excess food.

I would encourage you to wait about the Java moss. See how the Ferns do first as they may be all the plant you need in the tank once they grow a bit.
