Afghanistan, Iraq...now perhaps Iran. Why have all the right-wing Christians turned away from the Bible and pursue and encourage the constant war? Do any of you actually read the Bible? This could also be applied to how some speak about homosexuals and other people that are deemed "sinners" by the right. Apparently it is the "godless" liberals who seem to understand God's message to us the best. Is this ironic, or what?

"Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. For, Whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech. He must turn from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it." (1 Peter 3:8-11)

First you must believe that this person exists. There are many different cultures and religions HERE in the Unites States to ask such a restricted question of the few. War is war when we label it as such. The war on Drugs, the war on Terrorism, war is war and any god or society based in compassion and humanity would frown and discourage it. Why ask the opinion of a man who is not here to give his answer or the opinion of those who read the text of men that reinterpreted for their own needs... Look to the animal kingdom for your answer. They do not slaughter for politic or financial gain. They live in peace and harmony and struggle to survive and do what is necessary to achieve their goals. they are not greedy like humans across the planet that must kill to dominate! History has shown that all cultures outside the animal kingdom are warmongers! China, Russia, England, Spain etc....

God would approve of those who go to Afghanistan and Iraq to make a difference with the right intentions, I doubt he approves of the President lying to start the Iraq war, that has to be wrong even if the President feels it's a worthy cause. As with all wars the just will suffer along with the sinners if not sometimes more than the sinners, the sinners will get theirs eventually and the truly divine judge has no politics.

A war that got approval from the war-mongering libbies in congress like Billary. (Don't forget that part.) As for Jesus, I think he is used to all the fighting. Look back on history. The bible is full of war and rage. If nothing else, at least America has been known as a peace keeper and for coming to the aide of those less fortunate. (Think Hitler and the Jews.) I am sure he will forgive us for trying to protect ourselves from aimless terroristic violence.

No, I doubt Jesus would approve of us.
After all, I seem to remember in the Bible about "Loving Thy Neighbor." "Turn the other cheek." Oh, and "Treat others as you would have them treat you."
Unfortunately, people will never learn. The people who claim to be Christians, historically, do not act like Christians.

Do you think ALLAH is helping the Muzzies?? I guess it all depends on how safe you are in the comfort of your house here in the "terrible USA" while the rest of the "enlighted" world can't even afford to feed themselves.

I'd suggest some of you libs move to another country for a couple of years and if you survive, come back and tell us how great it was..if you survive.

The least you can do is go to the Mexican border and tell the millions crossing into this "den of evil" to make a LIVING, that they are stupid and shouldn't come here.

Matthew
10:14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
10:15 Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

Sounds like Jesus is for the war in Iraq... He wants Iran wiped out too.

You have the luxury of posting this because some towel headed mullah has not chopped your hands off.
Our reality is not theirs. You like the savages then go live with them.
To answer your question, our ways are not war mongering. So yes Jesus approves.

Shouldn't this be posted in religion?

No. Jesus was a liberal.
Jesus also hung out with the rejects of society at that time.
That includes homosexuals and prostitutes(Mary Magdalene). He didnt judge them, He hung out with them and loved them.

Hi,

What's this our stuff? george bush is the war monger and our nation is filled with citizens that are against bush's illegal war.

So if Jesus is going to want to hold someone accountable, it is going to be the chimp.
