We've developed a hybrid style of marriage. Most people have multiple spouses, but only one at a time.

No. Laws against polygamy are enforced in the U.S.

However, polyamory is not illegal. So choose one life-mate, get married and then live with the rest of them without the benefit of marriage. No one can tell you who you can live with, even if you are married. And no one can force you to have children with one woman, so have many.

Eventually everyone will be confused and the law won't be able to help anyone.

If Nambla has it's way and gets child marriages legalized Polygamy won't be illegal for long. They will have to legitimize it and other forms of marriage as valid forms of marriage! Thank the ACLU!

Not yet, except within certain religious sectors. We'll all have to endure these mono-slackers for now.

Open4one: I agree (but don't condone). Its called serial monogamy.

Yes, we're all forced to have multiple marriages. People who want to be married to only one person have to stay in hiding in remote areas.
