first off adele, i'm only 18, so you're not a 'young woman' to me. second, i'm not 'preying' on anyone. i'm just trying to show how shallow women really are.

Money offered or not...If someone came up to me and offered me $50 to give them a hug...I would not do that.
Reason being...I feel a hug should be shared from the naturalness of the heart wanting to share that way. For it to be attached to money...not for me. To me that $50 would be money received in a shallow way. My affections, even with a light hug, are to be shared and expressed of a true heart...not with money attached to it.
Looks of the person would have nothing to do with it...it's more about the principal of the thing.
100% honest you asked ? Well there is my honest answer...from a celebrating 50 yr. old.

I am 41 years old. $50 is a pretty good hourly rate! Does the President make that much in 10 seconds? Looks don't play a role in this whatsoever. Everyone needs a hug once in awhile, so if I can help someone out with that and get $50 bucks, then so much the better.
My age doesn't really play a big role in this either. I'm pretty wild and crazy, so it's all good. I would have done it twenty years ago too. The issue is really about attitude. It's simply a matter of whether or not you are the kind of person who would be willing to do something like that.

p.s. Come on people! I think some of you are getting a little bent out of shape over nothing. This is a fun question in the "Women's Studies" section. It's not a question in "Perverts Are Us". No one is talking about having sex with this guy, or even kissing him. The question clearly states that there would be no funny business, and that it's in a safe public place.
I live in a small city. We don't have slimy, gross perverts lurking around our mall. Everyone is very normal. When I go into the pharmacy to pick up prescriptions, all the employees know my name and the names of my family members. Maybe some of you folks live in bigger cities where there are questionable looking characters walking around. Perhaps that's why some of you seem so jaded and suspicious. I wouldn't want to live life that repressed.
p.p.s. Although; I think it's sad that the "asker" feels women as a group are shallow. Stereotypes are never valid. There was at least one straight guy who said he would do it too. If the question had been opened up to women AND men; there would have been men saying "yes" and "no" - just like the women.
This question is in "Social SCIENCE". This question does not qualify as science and cannot be used to justify a stereotype. I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Associate's degrees in Political Science AND Women's Studies. Trust me when I say that this question is not how science gets done.
So what about asking men if they would give a hug to another man under the same circumstances? What about asking men if they would give a hug to a woman under the same circumstances? What about asking women if they would give a hug to another woman under the same circumstances?

I might give the guy a pity hug, but 1) I'd get the money up front; 2) I'd punch or kick him if he tried anything and 3) I decide how long to hold the hug, not him - if he doesn't break when I say, he'll get hurt. I make way too much money to need $50 THAT bad. Age is over 25, under 30.

For $50? the three of them, except if they seemed not to be clean/smelly/etc. I don't see why their beauty would make a difference, since they are paying for it. Honestly, I don't see why some people associate that with prostitution. If you think THAT'S prostitution, then you really have a problem! As I said, I would do it, since it's in a place where there are a lot of people, and if they are not dirty/smelly. I'm 27.

I am 24.
To be honest, I'd think it would be pretty weird despite what he looked like.
But, I'd probably hug the guy if he looked like he was around my age or younger. So, I guess I am showing a little ageism there. LOL.
I try not to discriminate and I think that people are generally good and trust-worthy. I guess that could be troublesome in some situations. But if the guy looked like a "nice" person, I'd probably hug him.
P.S. I have hugged and talked to many a weird people when drunk. So if I were drinking, I'd hug just about anyone!

Thinking of paying for a hug, Hero?
Money IS NOT a reason to hug someone, and I'd be seriously afraid of anyone who suggested otherwise.
Oh, I am almost 50.
Good luck

I'm 35 years old, and I would never touch a stranger for money. No matter what the circumstances. I have too many morals to allow that to happen. Thank you and may GOD come soon to right the wrongs that have been done on this earth.

Nope, people that act like that are generally suffering from a mental illness and it is better to carry on with your business and not make eye contact. Compared with the rest of the answerers I am old as Methuselah.
