The ladder was most likely "fixed" to break, which means it was pre-cracked/broken. In many recaps from fans who attended WM, they have said it was a wooden ladder.

Yes, the ladder literally broke in half. I think it was just a way to get Edge out of the match due to his jaw injury. Probably a fake ladder.

yer it did break in half but it was a wooden ladder painted to look like a metal one, and it was meant to break in half... still, that looked pretty fn painful and theres no way that could be faked... edges jaw injury is recovering fine so that may have been an excuse but i think the ladder match couldve actually injured him... well have to wait and see

Yes. but as i found out when i asked a question about this. the ladder was wood painted to look like metal. if you watch a replay pay close attention.

yes it did. that is what u get when a 200+ lb wrestler jumps onto another 200+ lb wrestler from 15 ft. up onto an aluminum ladder

It was a wooden ladder made up to look like it was metal. I'm sure it still hurt like a sumb!tch though!
