How the heck are you supposed to pick best answer to some of these questions?

Sometimes it drives me crazy! There is no correct answer to “what is your favorite beer?” (Well, maybe there is, but I don’t wish to seem partial... )

I usually go with someone who bothered to add that little extra zing to an answer.

Well, for a question like that, I just leave it to the voting. Also, if I didn't really like any of the answers, or only got a couple, I will not pick one. The majority of the time I do pick one though and I think it's only fair to read every answer since people did take the time to respond.

I have a hard time with this sometimes, too. Sometimes I read all the answers like 10 times, and then pick the one who's answer makes me smile every time, or the avatar catches my eye, or sometimes on a question with no real best answer I pick the person that's answered many of my questions but has yet to get 'best answer from me'. I call that the "It's Your Turn" reward! LOL!

Are you serious to be driven crazy ? Some questions are for jest,some are for pun, for trivia, and of course the obvious the serious questions. Diversity is the name of game in Yahoo answers that makes the fun of it..there is no incorrect or correct answers, there is only unethical answers.

Scan the votes submitted by those whom may not even respond to your question. As a Yahoo participant, you've some idea of what trhe public will bear, but since it is your question, did you not find at least one courteous entry whom came close enough for you to light his cigar or brake for her babe in arms?

Well, you're not required that you do have to choose a best answer. Most times voters do that for you. Might take a couple of days though.

There are times when there are so many good answers that it is tough to pick the "best".

It is really a challenge.

Simple. Always choose my answer as the best answer...it's then a win/win situation. I get 10 points and you get a pretty good answer!
