Okay this is starting to bug me now.

Seems like recently every time I turn around some feminist is all up in arms about Alexandra's posts and even if they aren't really all that bad, like having a massive cry about her saying they wouldn't understand something to do with Christianity. "It's abuse boohoo". WTF?! And all these nasty name calling posts about stepford wives and women hating robots. She gets called a woman hater more than I do and she's a woman.

She is up the feminists' noses BAD.

Now I would be so pleased to have feminists hate me this bad and I'm pretty sure that I've said much worse things than she has, so what gives? Honestly I don't get it. Surely I'm a way bigger bastard. Is she doing something that I don't do? Is it because she is a superior alternative to them to men? Is this based on a feminist belief that only women matter so they see her as more of a threat? Seriously, what is it?

Why do the feminists hate a female anti-feminist more than the male ones?

Why was this a hard question?

Honestly, it doesn't surprise me very much that boys b*tch about feminism. I figure you're just more susceptible to propaganda - NOT merely by being male, but because you don't have a female experience, so it's harder for you to critically examine it. I also guess you're very young - as in teenager young. So your cluelessness can be forgiven.

It's a combination of things with her and other anti-feminists: a) she's a woman, so the fact that she isn't more sensitive to sexism is appalling. b) She's a complete godbag (which means Bible-thumper), which I find irritating. c) She, and most other female anti-feminists, can't actually string together an argument. The Bible is not an authoritative source.

I mean, seriously, if you're going to spend all day in a Women's Studies forum when you hate feminists, at least keep it interesting. Jeez.

EDIT: Okay, I realize my answer was harsh and lazy. I'm going to elaborate.

What bothers me is when women proclaim that they are happy being housewives and therefore feminism is irrelevant. Women are not homogenous - that's wonderful that these women are happy, but not all women would be happy in that situation. Nor is being a housewife even obtainable for a lot of women. I cannot stress enough that prior to the Women's Lib movement, a lot of women DID work, but they worked for less pay than men, doing the same job. I realize that it was white middle class women whose voices were heard the most, but feminism really does advocate for poor women's rights, visible minority rights, and homosexual rights. One person cannot claim "I'm happy, so every other woman would be happy in my situation too!" Feminism is about choice.

WOW! Can I add anything useful after Gypsy Whitemoon's excellent reply?

Nope! Or hardly.

I grew up in the sixties and I'm glad that I did. And I'm very happy that I nowadays have a much better chance to talk with women on an intellectually equal level than in the old days.

Equality between men and women has never been a question for me. And although exaggeration is not alien to either camp, this is all that feminism was ever about.

You sound jealous. Lol.
I don't hate "Alexandra," I find her posts ill-informed, and sometimes annoying, but I don't think she's ever been offensive. Her beliefs are hers to hold...she's religious, so I guess I understand where she's coming from, even if I don't agree. I reserve my "extreme dislike" for the truly hateful misogynists on this site, who are only here to bait women and degrade them. So don't feel TOO bad, Happy.

I don't hate anti-feminists, male or female, I just disagree with them. You're the one who's confusing disagreement with hate.

For some reason, I don't know the people you're speaking of too well.

However, I have found that the truth invokes outrage and slander from those in denial or pain. The cliche', "Pick on someone your own size" seems to play into factor too. So women will find it easier to pick on a woman since she is of the same size, where as a man is bigger and more intimidating.

It's all about individual perceptions of reality and choices. And yes, this is contrary to atheist naturalism and the right to do as one wishes. The right to 'do' and become in one's life is INDIVIDUAL. A 'group mentality' --- no regard for gender --- is always both potentially dangerous AND potentially of great benefit.

Because they absolutely and totally should know better. To be a feminist simply means to educate oneself on women's issues and women's place history and the 21st century. Feminists again are old young, straight gay, overweight underweight just right, conservative liberal, religious atheist, short haired long haired, pro-war anti-war, and there are Total Equality feminists and Equal but Different feminists. To be a woman and be anti-feminist is to be against being a woman.

It's beyond us why any woman would deny herself the equality she was promised and CAN have. We're used to male anti-feminists. I hate Alexandra's talking points, but I admire her guts.

Personally, I admire Alexandra, Leah Kelly, Port Wine (though I've disagreed with a few of their posts but not much and rarely) and a several others who disregard regimented feminism.
It is similar to labor unions treatment of those who state "we don't need or deserve more money, benefits or paid time off". They become more hated than members of management; blacks who don't use the race card to gain unwarranted advantages are called "Uncle Tom" by those who do and are hated worse than the white bosses.

It is simply that feminists realize that there are some pointing out that 'the queen wears no clothes', which means these 'outcasts' are thinking for themselves instead of memorizing feminist dogma.

I don't hate Alexandra. I don't hate anyone.

It just disturbs me so much to see a woman demean her own gender. Perhaps I misunderstand her. It just seems to me that she believes that women should be silent, subservient, and pretty for their men, but men can be strong, aggressive, leaders. I would really like to talk to her sometime. Her views are so much different from mine; I'd like to know more about them. I'm pretty sure most of her views of how women should be submissive to men come from the Bible. However, I know plenty of people who are Christians AND believe in women's equality. I guess I just find it hard to believe that any woman is content in her own opression and, in fact, pushes it on others.
