A chicken. Most meat animals have a better quality of life than the lowly chicken. Can you imagine being stuck in a wire cell your entire adult life without ever seeing the sun? And if you were an egg laying chicken, you could not touch another chicken. If you were a meat chicken, you'd share 10 cubic feet with 9 other chickens for 4 months. At the end of that time, you're dead.

Probably snakes or spiders. Not that I would particularly care about what human beings thought of me if I were a reptile or insect, but, I'd hate to be such an unending source of fear. Plus, spiders scare the heck out of me, seriously. seriously!
