By starting out at a fairly young age to seek these higher meanings in life I had one thing picking at me so I set out to find it. It was the great question of where and how do I find the missing link. I went to Europe, Africa, Asia, South and North America all the while thinking I would find the answer. What I got was another clue to go there or somewhere and there I would find the answer I sought. After 40 years I found the there was this book that answerd all my discomforts. It was way over there somewhere and so I set out once again to find this book that was obviously so full of what I looked for. Finally I was getting close. Then, just a short boat ride across the lake to a small island where the book is kept sacred for all who are seeking. Finally, upon gazing into the book I began to laugh. After all these years I finally found the answere I was looking for. It was a book with a mirror on each page.

I think "finding yourself" also means being happy with what you are and who u are. There were times in my life that I would tell myself, "Now, why did you do that? You know better." I would beat myself up for lost chances or not following through with something. The more that I moved toward the person I wanted to be the happier I became. Think of the things you want yourself to be (examples: assertive, take charge person, or comfortable in a room of people) and then move toward them. These may be the most anxiety provoking things for you, but the better you get at those things the more your confidence will grow and, I believe, the more at peace you will be with who you are. If you have not seen the film, "It's a Wonderful Life" Watch it! It will change your life. Good Luck!
