Sweetie, take this from a teacher of eight years. We all make mistakes; even your teacher has made her share. If you feel sorry, let her know. She will make a decision how to handle the situation. I don't need to tell you that every action has its consequence, good or bad. Cheating may have led to a consequence that can't be changed, but apologizing will make your teacher feel better about you and more importantly, if your apology is sincere, it will make you feel better about yourself. If you have grown and become more honest in the long run, you'll be just fine. Best of luck.

"Oops - I'm sorry?" Okay, yeah, that isn't brilliant, but it's the truth, right? Anything on the order of "I feel so dumb - you made a point of saying not to include that and I tried so hard not to but still missed one - I'm sorry." You say you "didn't do this by accident" -- so you meant to do it? I'm confused. Your best bet is to just own up, simply and directly, to your mistake and apologize. It's not an earth-shattering, "I'm so sorry I stole the money from the bake sale" kind of mistake. It's more an "oops" mistake. Don't belabor it - just acknowledge, apologize, and move on.

I think this looks suspicious to the Teacher. I don't think you are saying you did anything wrong. You say is wasn't an accident. So what are you asking us? And you don't seem to be remorseful. Maybe you will just get a failing grade. If you are guilty, then you deserve what you get. Honesty is always the best policy.

Explain to the teacher it was an honest mistake that you did not mean to make. I am sure she will realize this when she sees that you did not turn in the entire rough draft.

Just be honest and ask to speak to her....tell her simply you're sorry and it wasn't your intention to use the rough copy and you're sorry that it happened.
Ask her if there's anything you can do to make it right
Hang in there and good luck...
