People do not want to hear the truth they are simply looking for affirmations of their own beliefs.

Peopele may give bad ratings because they don't want the truth or maybe because the question wasn't answered but instead an opinion was given. And it may or may not have been a truthful answer but it had nothing to do with the question.

Yeah, that annoys me too. I think to myself "I gave a very informative answer, full of facts and truth, and some bozo just gave me a thumbs down!". What is up with that?!?!? Some i even give out of personal experience, and i still get a thumbs down! I think it's just because some people are ignorant. That, and they want to give everybody else a bad rating, so that they will score better, and possibly win the 10 points! Who knows for sure, but yes, it gets old! :)

I wonder that sometimes too. I guess some people just cant handle the truth or dont like to hear the truth. Truth hurts.

Because most people are misinformed but, believe that what they say is absolutely correct.
People have given me quite a few bad ratings even though I presented them with hard facts backing my answer up.
Some people can never be wrong.

Because people don't like to hear the truth or they just always think that they're right about everything. If they think that they're already right, then why ask a question? You have to look pass those immature A**Holes!

It lets you know what people think of your answer on whatever they think its good or not. They not saying your answer is wrong just they don't think its the best or don't like it.
