I have just visited the "Politics and Government" section, and the same questions asked in the Yahoo!America site are just repeated in the Yahoo!Canada site. I'm sure a lot of Canadians out there want a true Canadian forum, too, or am I the only one? We like to complain just as much as anybody!

As a Canadian, I must agree with your assessment. But before we can attempt this concept, we must have a royal commission and spend at least 25 million of yours and my tax dollars to see if enough Canadians will actually use it.

Based on the two of us being in agreement, I would offer an assumption that after one year of study and two billion spent on software we will have a form, but in Arabic!

Nigel, you will possibly be slightly puzzled. Of the people who voted, Harper's party have been given 39%. this skill sixty one% of the people who voted, voted against him. From those numbers you won't be able to appreciate how many people voted as a proportion of eligible electorate. although, in a 'first previous the placed up' device, in each and every using, the guy with the main votes wins in that using. So in Harper's case, he have been given adequate ridings to win a majority OF SEATS. The variety of using's a party wins truthfully makes a decision their representation in parliament. As you will discover, there may well be a great difference between what sixty one% of Canadians vote for (or against) and who gets to sit down down on the top of the table. Harper understood this completely so he concentrated his final marketing campaign to immigrants, enormously interior the 905 area around Toronto, with a 'hard on crime, subtly homophobic' message that have been given him basically a million.9% extra votes than interior the final electionn. yet those votes have been given him the extra desirable SEATS. Now we are caught with the 'tyranny' of a minority. The conservative 'tail' wags the Canadian 'canine'.

I'm sure you could contact them requesting it, and see what they do. Ask enough times and they might. Go ahead and post here, it would be a refreshing change from all of the rediculous bashing that we Americans inflict on each other. I know I see answers on a somewhat regular basis from our Canadian friends. Give it a whirl!
