Hi,
i am getting undergraduate degree in Math (i just love math :) )from Canadian university...i just want to ask that do banks hire students with Math degree (BSc) or only students with business degree?
I am planning to stay one more year and do BA in Econ as well, would that help to get job in Banks ?

I just want to know what options do i have to besides teaching with BSc in math and Econ....

It all depends on what your goal is in banking. With a degree in math it should be no problem getting your foot in the door. Most of the major banks offer training programs for university grads, business major or not. Try searching the web sites of the big four as they all have a careers section where you can post a resume. Good luck.

With that background, you job search will be quite short. Ever think of Ins.

What a coincidence..I was paging through a copy of a magazine a few days ago (Us News) and it listed a hot job as an actuary.
They work for ins co's, and they generally look for someone with a background in math and statistics.
Happy job hunting!

Currently, my banker friend's undergraduate was accounting, and then he has his MBA.
