I really don't know abuse is abuse what ever you call it. Some people think if it is between a husband and wife or b/f and g/f that it is ok for them to beat up on each other. If they have a relationship then it is ok. It never is ok to physical, emotional or mentally abuse anyone. It breaks down the soul of a person and leaves scars for the rest of their lives.
Love is the answer.

They are misinformed and not educated on the subject. I think many people are and don't realize that there is more than one type of abuse. In fact, emotional abuse is just as prevalent and even more damaging than physical and verbal. This topic is pretty real to me because I was in an abusive relationship. I was uneducated too and I didn't realize how much I was being abused. I finally got the courage to leave, believe it or not, I loved him even though he was bad to me. I kept thinking I would eventually be good enough and not make him mad. I was wrong and got educated. Thats the key.

I don't think domestic violence is never ok. It's not right for the children to live in fear not knowing when a fight or huge argument is going to break out. What's even worst is to watch parents beat up on each other. I know I grew up in a home like that. Sometimes I have flash backs of those memories even though I try to block them out.

Because they were raised with and they are told that if this person did this the right way then they wouldn't need to be "punished." I on the other hand do not think it is okay and have helped other women get away from the abusive fiancee or spouse.

Why do many women think it's o.k to hit men ?
When "Bobbit" cut the guy's "Wang" off, all of the women thought it was Hysterical, most men knew that he could have Hemorrhaged to death in minutes, I think most males were a bit taken back at how cold women were about that, saying "He deserved it". If a male ever hurt a female in a similar way, it would not have been such a joke.

I don't think ''thinking' has got anything to do with it. Abusers are usually highly neurotic or soicopathic individuals who believe their ego is superior to others and believe that physical violence is a solution to life's problems. As for people who are not abusers but who think it is okay, they should try being abused for a awhile to see how it feels.

Beats me.{no pun intended] I think some people are so maochistic that they think being beaten is a sign of love.Could be that to some ppl any kind of attention is better than none at all.Sick!!!! I say anyone who tolerates this behavior is seriously lacking in self esteem.
