Picking out baby names is so stressful! All of the trendy names are so adorable yet your child will be one of 5 in a class. I teach preschool and this year I have a ton of Hannah's, Hailey's, Kylie's, Summer's, and Lilly's! For boys Isaac's and Gavin's.

Some names that I really like that aren't TOO popular (at least not here!) are:
- Kennedy
- Mia
- Aaliyah
- Kaia
- Layla
- Avery
- Madalyn
- Zoey
- Jordyn
- Sienna
- Lydia
- Macey
- Tessa
- Halle
- Sydney
- Addison
- Peyton
- Presley
- Brinley
- Brenna
- Elise
- Alyssa
- Olivia
- Bethany
- Reese
- Reagan

Good Luck! SD

Ava is a lovely name, and not as common as you think.

Here are some girl names:

1. Audrey
2. Grace
3. Angela
4. Alexa (or Alexis)
5. Serena

And now on to the boys:

1. Elias
2. Anthony
3. Xander(short form for Alexander)
4. Lucas
5. Nicholas

Congratulations and I hope these help.

I love Ava! Even the newest names become common in time. Even the older names from years ago like Sophia are really popular now. It really comes down to what you love, and how well it goes with the babys last name. If you think the name you choose is going to be popular, you can always pick a really unique middle name to go with it. Here are some names I happen to like:

Desiree
Elle
Nia
Savannah
Aliana
Sienna

Boys
Dylan
Domenick
Matteo
(Sorry I don't have a huge selection for boys)GoodLuck!

How about Aidan? We just named our baby that. We had a boy but planned on using the same name if we had a girl. It's such great masculine name but used as a girl's name I think it's very pretty as well. Ada is a pretty girls name too! Good luck!

I used to love Ava too, but as you say is getting a bit common now.
What about Ivy or Isla as a variation to that?

I think those are cute and don't personally know many people with them ( I actually only know 1 Ava and she's 30?). Try Baby Center.com and search baby names. Good luck!
