I had lost my phone recently and a new one was sent out to me, with a new sim card of course, and I have to register it but the customer service lines are closed right now, is there any other way to register the sim card? I've been without a phoen for 2 weeks and I really want to talk on it..

I worked for Cingular and you either need to call into Customer Serivce or go to a Cingular store, and they can do it for you too.

The only way for any phone that requires a sim card to work is basically through the phone carrier network. Since you have Cingular, you need to call Customer Service and tell them that you need to have a sim card and a phone that needs to be activated, since you lost your other phone.

Have you tried logging on to your account on cingular.com and try to activate the sim there? You can search the help section and forums on cingular's website for more info. Hope this helps you.
