Depends on the CAUSE of the Blue Screen of Death. If it is caused by a defected piece of hardware, then it will not fix the issue. If it is caused by a bad driver it might fix the problem - or you might have to replace the driver. If it is caused by an orphaned entry or other registry problems, it should fix the problem.

If you create a restore point before running the cleaner, then it can not hurt your computer. (If it causes an issue you go back to the restore point). So it is worth trying.

When you install a program it's entry is made in the registry. It is not a single but a lot of string at different folders in registry, so it becomes quite a big data. When you uninstall a program only path is deleted. Your deleted file are their on HDD & can be recovered. In registry the data are never deleted so in a big data base selection of likewise string in registry causes blue screen most of the time not always. Registry cleaners checks for each strings & it's application if not found it removes the string.

first there is a problem on your hardware driver, try to remove the driver and re install it the same as your add on hardware,if this didnt effect you are suffering from hardware problem, the errors message depends on the hadrware type you install, mostly its a fatal error message,if you have a spare hardware parts try to install it so that you know what parts are defective, sometimes trojan horse do the job by injecting the script on your registry to form an error message, if that happens, your computer are infected from trojan horse virus. try to remove it by using the startup disk, this will help you to boot your computer normally.
