A harmonic Wave travels in a wire with amplitude 5.43 mm, wavelength 0.476 m, and frequency 679 Hz.what is the sped of which the wave travels.

I used v= f(wavelength) to get 0.323 m/s
But I dont think its right because of the Amplitude
Can u help me out?

You are correct. The amplitude doesn't come into it. Two waves with different amplitudes will have the same speed if their wavelength and frequency are the same.

Amplitude has nothing to do with wavelength

Why did you label the question Wavelength when it's about velocity?

I think you need to go back and re-read the chapter before attempting your homework.
